Getting involved

This page outlines ways people can get involved with the group.

Volunteers Urgently needed!

download this GD volunteer recruit leaflet leaflet about active volunteering or visit our “Become a Volunteer” page

Here at Green Door a small core of dedicated volunteers provide our services to the community, at Green Door nobody gets paid apart from outside service suppliers who supply events we cannot do ourselves. This is activities such as kayaking, climbing and the lottery funded History 4 Health.

Our cycling project and walking program are completely self funded and rely on volunteers. As such Green Door desperately need the following volunteers who can help us keep going, without volunteers Green Door could not exist!

We need the following volunteers:

Paddlesport Instructor

Bank Based Support Volunteer

Foundation Safety & Rescue Volunteer

Generally volunteering at Green Door is not a taxing position, and as a cycle volunteer, there can be some periods of inactivity on days when we are not busy. However at present the work load is currently spread between too few volunteers that mean some are committing themselves to far too many days. To ensure we don’t lose the excellent volunteers we have by over working them, Green Door must recruit more if we are to survive.

If you can volunteer, please give us a call on 07824473432 or 07988357447 or drop Denise an email on denise@green-door.org.uk
