It is with regret, that due to the current and rapidly changing public health situation, Green Door has taken the decision to suspend cycle hire and all other activities until further notice. We would like to take this opportunity to thank all our beneficiaries for their support and look forward to welcoming you all back when the situation allows.
Green Door update
Our activities calendar is regularly updated as new activities and events are scheduled. To view the details of the activity, click on the activity title on the calendar below.
Green Door would like to thank members for their continuing support.
Reluctantly, Green Door are in a position where, after five years of maintaining prices at the same rate, the pricing structure has had to be reviewed.
Costs are rising for the maintenance and spare parts of the activity equipment; Increases in volunteer expenses; higher administrative costs; provision of new activities and associated equipment. The latter had a significant impact on our insurance cost and has led to the need for Green Door to increase it’s prices.
Prices from Sep 2019 will be as follows
|High Rate (non-member)||£6.50|
|High Rate (member)||£4.00|
|Low Rate (non-member)||£3.00|
|Low Rate (member)||Free|
Here at Green Door we do our best to keep the calendar up to date, but as an organisation staffed mainly by volunteers sometimes we don’t always get the calendar updated as soon as we would like. Therefore please take a look at our download page to either see or download our “Whats on leaflet“. The “Whats On” is always produced before the calendar so if the calendar looks bare check out the “Whats on”. This may also contain extra info that isnt on the calendar.
Alternatively, check out the events listed on our Facebook page.
or find listings of events at www.wherecanwego.com
Please be aware that because we are staffed mainly by volunteers, we are reliant on their availability. As most of our volunteers have a disability or health problem it can occur that a volunteer is unable to attend an activity with little or no notice. This, on occasions has led to an event not taking place, with little or no notice. Green Door tries its best to minimise this but requests your understanding. The volunteers give their time freely, and do so because they want to make our community better.
Despite occasionally struggling to have full volunteer cover, the volunteers we do have are very dedicated and so it is rare an event gets cancelled. However looking back we can see the events that did not take place and had little or no warning, are the social walks.
